Quickly he proceeded to state how he had moved up from a starting career position to his current position, and how his MBA had been a contributor to his success, because (according to him), everyone should "have an MBA".  After the meeting, another meeting participant asked me how I had handled the time preceding the meeting "by becoming bored" by the key participant speaking about his MBA.  I asked if there was some issues with that topic and was told that the key participant tells the MBA stories so many times that everyone walks away.&lt;br /&gt;I then recalled an incident a couple of weeks back when, similarly, a person referred several times to the fact that they had an MBA.  On that instance, the discussion revolved about this person's insisting that they were more knowledgeable because they had more studies than someone else.  I remarked that education is not necessarily knowledge.  The person became irate after my comment, until I explained I had two MBAs and additional studies beyond it, plus teach at the MBA level for a major university.  End of conversation.&lt;br /&gt;In my opinion, if you are not interviewing, there are very few reasons for discussing credentials, but maybe it is me.&lt;br /&gt;Do you feel compelled to tell the world that you have an MBA, except for the common discussions relating to credentials. Go?</title><content type='html'>&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;The start!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;"&gt;Why the blog?
